Concert „Janina Butor in memoriam”


        December 10 2004 was the day of the second anniversary of the death of Janina Butor (1933-2002), an outstanding musical pedagogue, who since 1959 led the piano class in The Karol Szymanowski State High School of Music in Wrocław. In honour of her memory The Josef Hofmann Society organized a concert named „Janina Butor in memoriam”. It took place in the Oratorium Marianum on 17.12.2004 at 7 pm. In this concert took part the following pianists - pupils of Janina Butor: Marian Sobula (taught by Janina Butor in 1988-2000), Piotr Szychowski (taught by Janina Butor in 1993-2000), Michał Ferber (taught by Janina Butor in 1988-1994), Michał Szczepański (taught by Janina Butor in 1981-1993), Tamara Granat (taught by Janina Butor in 1976-1982), Krzysztof Jabłoński (taught by Janina Butor in 1971-1983).
